Bitmaps, with 45k holders (vs. 25k of @TheSandboxGame LANDS), is the largest metaverse protocol in web3. The bitmap protocol was created circa June 2023, that's 1.5 years ago. Still remember vividly on @TheOrdinalShow, @TO & @liujackc debating on the feasibility of a "free metaverse land" protocol where projects will not be able to sell land to raise capital to build an actual game. Fast forward, today the @BitmapEmporium project completed a parcels sale off 1 single bitmap and raising 8.5376 BTC to build out their game.
