I took a long break from X. Almost a month. I just needed to calm down, reset, and really think about my life. Yes, emphasis on thinking about my life. People kept asking, “Blue where are you? Where have you been?” I’ve been at home. Relaxing. I went to my father’s house, and you know how it is once I’m there, that pressure to grind is not the same. It’s my comfort zone, and being in that space forced me to reflect. And one question kept ringing in my head: Blue, what do people know you for? When I think of @10Xofweb3 , I think “marketer.” When I think of @web3righteous, marketer again. When I think of @IamOloba_ , I think “artist.” So I asked myself: Who are you? What does your content talk about? Who exactly are you speaking to? What are you even doing on X? Because it’s easy to yap. Everybody yaps. But after yapping… what next? Some people yap, but you still clearly know their lane. Me? I had to admit that I didn’t know mine. So I decided to do something I’ve always wanted to do. I took that one step forward. I rebranded. Changed my bio. This is just the first step. I chose marketing🥲 We all think we all know what marketing is, For me, marketing is the one skill every company, every founder, every creator, every individual needs. You might have the best product with the best intentions, the best features, the best utility but if you can’t market it, if you can’t make people see what you see and believe what you believe, then what’s the point? Look at LEGO (a toy company) Years back, they were close to bankruptcy. Not because their product was bad, but because something wasn’t clicking. Today, they’re a multi-billion dollar company. Did their product change? No. They got their marketing right. That could be any brand. Any builder. Any creator. And honestly? It could be me too. I’m not claiming to be a marketing expert. I’m still learning. But in this journey, I’ve decided to become obsessed with learning one new thing at a time, until I become the best version of myself. ~ Blue💙

A few years ago, the idea of bringing commodity markets on chain felt distant. Today, @PythNetwork is serving prices for everything from BTC to beef cattle. What caught my attention is not just the four new feeds. It is what they represent. Cocoa. Coffee. Raw Sugar. Live Cattle. These are markets that move because of weather, supply shortages, tariffs, and shifting global demand. Entire industries watch these prices every day, yet on chain access has often been fragmented or expensive. Now builders can tap into over 3,000 price feeds across crypto, equities, FX, commodities, and metals through a single API. The interesting part is where this leads next. Prediction markets, perpetuals, and structured products are no longer limited to crypto native assets. As more real world markets come on chain, the gap between traditional finance and crypto keeps getting smaller. The price of everything is coming on chain. One feed at a time.

One thing that fascinated me about @PythNetwork is that it was built because DeFi had a problem most people never saw. Everyone talks about liquidity, TVL, and trading volume, but behind every trade is a price feed. If that price is slow, inaccurate, or manipulated, everything built on top of it starts to wobble. For a long time, blockchains struggled to access the same quality of market data that professional traders use every day. It felt like trying to run a modern financial system with yesterday's newspaper. Pyth was created to close that gap. Instead of relying heavily on middlemen to pass prices around, it brought data directly from the firms and exchanges closest to the market itself. The goal was simple: give on chain applications access to fresher information when they need it most. The more I learn about DeFi, the more I realize that some of the most important infrastructure is the stuff users never see. Pyth is one of those pieces quietly helping the entire machine keep moving.

Day 3 of my marketing journey. I spoke to someone today who has been in marketing for four years, and hearing his perspective meant a lot. I told him about the course I’m taking, and he said I’m on the right path — that learning first is always the right foundation. But he also reminded me that marketing isn’t something you stroll into casually. It demands skill, time, and real commitment. Then he asked me a simple question: “Are you sure you want marketing?” My answer was even simpler: I don’t think I have any other talent. I just want to be good at something and I’m willing to put in the work to make marketing that “something.” So yeah… still learning, still building, still choosing this path every day. x.com/blue_crypte/status/199…

Day 2 of my marketing journey. I continued my course today and something made real sense to me. The instructor explained that marketing runs on four core parts — and these parts stay the same no matter the industry or platform. Here they are: 1. Strategy The overall plan. The direction behind every move. 2. Theory Branding, positioning, influencer marketing — the ideas that shape perception. 3. Channels The places you show up. How you grow on social platforms and reach people organically. 4. Extras How to turn your skills into income and present your value in a way that gets attention. Understanding this made me realise marketing isn’t guesswork. It’s a structured system, and once you grasp it, you can apply it anywhere — including Web3. Next up is marketing research. I’ll probably share what I learn in my next update. Stay tuned. x.com/blue_crypte/status/199…

Day one of learning marketing let me tell you how it really started. A few days ago, I was scrolling through a post and saw a marketer break it down in the simplest way: If you’re new, you need two things — a mentor and a course. Simple, but it hit me🙃 Because I don’t have a mentor yet. Nobody to point and say, “Blue, go this way.” So I told myself I’ll start with the one I can control, the course📝 Today, I bought my first one. And it wasn’t even easy. I didn’t have a card to pay, so I literally spent over three hours at the bank just to get an ATM card. Sitting there, waiting, tired… all because I wanted to invest in this one step. The course is called The Complete Digital Marketing Guide (27 courses in one). Over 70 hours. Now, some people might say “But that’s Web2 marketing, not Web3.” I actually asked ChatGPT about this, and the answer made sense: The foundation is the same. Marketing is still psychology, audience understanding, storytelling, strategy. The only difference is the platforms and the execution. So yes. I’m starting from Web2. I’m learning the basics properly. I’m taking the long route. So yeah… today feels like a small beginning, but it’s a beginning I’m proud of.

this is my motivation i’m tired of waiting for passion, i choose marketing even tho i know it sucks😭😂
You are using the excuse of lack of passion to disguise your inability to handle difficulty. Your passion only exists in the vague. even if you start a business around your “passion” 95% of what you do everyday will NOT be your passion. You’ll just have brief moments where you do that specific thing (if at all) and assuming that thing never changes (which it will). So if you know that: 1) Unless you get good at your passion, you will have to do things you like less to pay the bills. 2) As soon as you are good at your passion, demand will outstrip your supply of time and 95% of what you do will not be “the thing you love” but stuff you do to support the thing you love, which you may indeed “not love” 3) The 5% of your passion that’s leftover will only be there if your passion doesn’t change (which it will) Which means the vast majority of your life you will not be doing things you are passionate about. And in the tiny instance you do, it’s likely short lived. I say all this to say, delaying your pursuit because you’re waiting to find your passion is a fools errand. Find something people value. Do that thing even though it sucks. Realize there is no greener grass. It all sucks. But it sucks less when you’re good. And the best way to get good is to get started.

Let me say this: it’s going to be painful if you don’t get your account monetized now, that it seems like it’s quite easy for everyone to do it. don’t feel too big to ask questions; ask others who has done theirs to give you tips on how they did it. honestly getting 5m impressions isn’t that difficult. should I drop a compressive guide on how to get your impressions up to 5m in not time? 100 retweets and I will drop a guide Let’s go!

Web3 Founders, hear me... Stop wasting your marketing budget. Before you run any marketing activity, fix these two things, They will save you money and help you get better results. And note this... You cannot do any of this effectively without a real marketing team and a strategist. Right now I see a lot of projects, at least 80%, running marketing activities without: 1. Knowing their target audience 2. Segmenting their target audience Then at the end they complain that nothing worked. If you are a smart founder, who wants profit and growth from your spend, you need a marketing team that helps you: 1. Identify who your project is for 2. Understand how to reach them, where to reach them, and who or what you need to reach them 3. Tailor your marketing activities to different users at different stages These three things are what separate marketing that drives growth from marketing that burns cash. They helped me drive real results in past campaigns, including: * 1,000 signups in 7 days * Faster community growth and higher engagement * 5,000 dollars in product volume and strong mindshare for a startup project on Base in 14 days A Base strategist like me will take it further to find out… So smart founders, fix these three things before you run any marketing or growth activity. If you don't know how, Reach out and let me help you get it right.

For those who finds it hard to be consistent, I also found it hard too at one point, so here is what I did, I randomly set goal in the web3 space for myself Sometimes: ~ it’s my followers count ~how many crypto projects should recognize me ( not compulsory to be in team) ~Break post engagement rate ~ Portfolio target ~ Space audience target ~ How many people I should make money or teach how to, etc…. THESE KEPT ME GOING, AND I INDIRECTLY WON IN THE PROCESS 🙃 If this was helpful retweet for others to see✌️🫆

A crypto product is like a well.❗️ If you dig for one day and stop, you get nothing. But if you keep digging in the same spot learning it, using it, testing it you eventually hit water. Consistency is what reveals which products are real and which were never worth digging for. BE CONSISTENT AND GROW ✨

“𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐬” At least that is what people say. I used to believe it too until something happened that made me look at marketing in another way. I went into a store to buy a perfume set. I saw two options that smelled almost the same but one was far more expensive. I wanted the cheaper one and the seller kept pushing the costly one. She said expensive things feel like luxury and better quality. I bought it because part of me already believed that idea. Some weeks later I smelled the cheaper one on someone else and it was just as good as mine. That was when it clicked for me. The seller did not lie to me. She simply used a story that matched what I already believed about price and quality. That is how marketing works. It is not always about tricks. It is about storytelling and understanding consumer psychology. It is about knowing the story people already hold in their minds and speaking to that story. I learned this again while reading Seth Godin’s book titled All Marketers Are Storytellers. Marketers are not liars. They are storytellers who shape how we see a product or a brand. If you are building something or trying to grow a community, then ask yourself what story you are telling and who already believes that story. ~ Blue💙
