My dad fought in the battle of the Atlantic. His ship HMS Warwick was sunk by a German U-boat off the coast of Cornwall on 20th Feb 1944, he was only 19.
He was blinded by the engine oil in the water and taken to Padstow hospital. Sadly 69 of his shipmates lost their lives.
Who's on board for this?

HMS BITER will be visiting Liverpool Albert Dock @lpoolcouncil for the 80th anniversary of the Battle Of The Atlantic. Ship Open To Visitors over the weekend, we hope to see you there!
I am overjoyed to be a part of this event. I’ll be discussing the circumstances leading up to and during the Battle which necessitated the use of over-age destroyers and how the ships publicly negotiated the role of the Navy during the Battle and it’s aftermath.
