My Final Plea To EVERY Voter: I come from the populist GOP base. I voted for Trump in 2016. When I publicly turned against Trump in 2018, I took a blowtorch to my career. I lost everything. But I did it bcuz I believe Trump is everything our Founders feared. He lies every time he opens his mouth, he believes he's above the law, he wants to be an authoritarian, and he's humanly incapable of putting the country's interests first. I'm not asking you to take a blowtorch to your career. But I am asking you to put your country's interests ahead of your own partisan interests. Every day for the past 6 yrs, Republicans have told me, "Yes Joe, Trump is a bad guy, but...but the economy, but my taxes, but the Dems are communists, but...whatever." Trump is way worse than a "bad guy." He's someone you would never work with or work for, someone you would never trust your wife or daughters with, yet you'd put him in the White House? Start with his lying. NO OTHER POLITICIAN lies as much as Trump. He lies every time he opens his mouth. How can you allow your country to be led by someone who lies like that? He has never believed the law applies to him. It's why he took classified docs and obstructed the search for them, and why he committed crimes trying to overthrow the 2020 election. He believes he's above the law. How can you vote for someone who believes he's above the law? He wants to be a dictator. He's pledged to use the military to go after his political opponents, to shut down media outlets he doesn't like, to jail people who burn the American flag...the list goes on & on. A dictator is anathema to America. How can you vote for someone who pledges to be a dictator? Finally, Trump is humanly incapable of putting the country's interests first. He is capable of acting ONLY in his own interests. It's why he so fucked up our response to Covid. He couldn't do what was best for the country when Covid hit. So many Americans died bcuz Trump was only capable of thinking about Trump. It's why when he lost the 2020 election, he couldn't accept the loss & concede. Because HE WAS CAPABLE OF ONLY CARING ABOUT HIMSELF. He couldn't put the country first. How can you vote for someone FOR PRESIDENT who is humanly incapable of putting the country's interests first? And how can you vote for someone who will NEVER concede when he loses an election? He won’t concede again if he loses this year. The election is still five days away, and this is a non-exhaustive list of all the viral election fraud claims (with millions of views) that have already turned out to be total bunk, despite going mega viral: 1. Hundreds of voters all registered at one address in PA (turned out to be nuns living at a monastery) 2. 150,000 excess voters in Michigan (someone misreading a QVF a glitch recording historical addresse) 3. Video of haitian migrants saying they were getting IDs registered to vote within days of being flown to U.S. (actual hoax video and maybe Russian disinfo, according to GA Republicans) 4. Trump's name not on California ballot (Cali randomizes its ballots and someone got Trump on page 2) 5. Random person from Rhode Island delivering hundreds of ballots in Pennsylvania (turned out to be a postmaster doing his job) 6. Hundreds of people all registered at one address in PA (turns out it was a homeless shelter in Harrisburg, all legal voters) 7. Voters being denied in Pennsylvania before polls closed (not fraud, but a mistake by a polling station; judge extended early voting) 8. Claims Michigan has "more people eligible to vote than registered voters" (a bunch of people literally misunderstanding how Michigan maintains its voter rolls) 9. People claiming they can print ballots at fake addresses in Washington state (your ballot would never be counted if you tried to submit it from a fake address, also couldn't re-create the claim) 10. Labour Party leader committing election interference by asking for volunteers to come to the U.S. to canvass (unseemly, yes; but legal, unless she was actually paying people) There have also been a ton of recycled claims from 2020: Two election workers curing a ballot and people claiming they were filling out ballots (debunked four years ago, poll watchers present in full video). Claims machines were flipping votes in Georgia for Democrats (actual video shows double-scanned voters for REPUBLICANS and does not prove these votes were counted twice). Etc. Also, there have been some legit issues, too! Which is why I always look into things with an open mind. In Lancaster County, an investigation is underway over what appears to be a fraudulent *registration* push (these people did NOT vote). In Michigan, a Chinese student and non-U.S. citizen admitted to voting, and the state is saying they can't "undo" their vote. The QVF issue in Michigan did, at least, appear to include some kind of data error. And in Bucks County, PA, poll workers were wrong to turn people away at 4:30 despite long lines (though Bucks is NOT a conservative county - it was won by Obama (2x), Clinton, and Biden - so the idea this was intended to harm Republicans is self-evidently silly). Again: It is November 1. The election isn't even here yet. There is so much terrible information out there - and about HALF of these have been elevated/shared by this platform's owner, @elonmusk, which is really concerning. Community Notes are coming way too late, and most of these are racking up millions of views. I am trying my best to fight the bad info with good info (please share this) but it's not easy. We will get real, actual fraud in this election. It's a big country and we always do. But 99% of these claims are bunk. So please: Share with caution. Stay skeptical. Don't trust everything you find online. And, of course, follow along.
