Pepe The Frog is a lot of things, but it is definitely not an alt-right hate symbol. Was the narrative taken away from Matt Furie for a moment? Yes, it was. Does that mean the entire character is racist and condones hateful speech and behaviour? No, it doesn't. The narrative was shortly after taken back and labelling it as such is a misrepresentation of the most iconic fictional character in Internet history. If you want to educate yourself, the true story can be found in The Book of Kek that I am linking in the comments. Regardless on your views on the PEPE token, it's important to understand the difference here and especially to study the history of how the narrative was taken away from someone and regained through art and memes.
