The Israeli reaction to Trump’s “peace” agreement MOU is becoming increasingly clear.
Smotrich says it is bad for Israel & the free world.
Ben-Gvir says Trump’s agreement does not bind Israel.
Katz says the IDF will remain in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza indefinitely.
According to Israeli reports, Netanyahu has already told Trump that Israel does not consider itself bound by the Lebanese component of the agreement.
Meanwhile, on the ground in Lebanon this morning, Israeli forces reportedly carried out further demolitions of civilian homes in southern Lebanon using explosive-laden M113 vehicles, drones returned to low-altitude flights over Dahyeh, and strikes and military activity continued around the Nabatiyeh area.
Notably, Netanyahu himself has remained publicly silent for hours since the deal was announced.
Which is exactly why caution is needed.
The agreement may be signed on Friday.
What matters is whether it survives contact with reality afterwards.
