"The true nationalist grounds his social and political philosophy and practice on a realistic analysis of his situation. He cognizes his enemies. He is not a slavish reader of foreign sources and of other political ideologies.
He does not permit his reading of Marx, Lenin, and those other people to paralyze his ability to think creatively. He understands that the ultimate foundation for political activity and behavior is his own realistic analysis for himself of his situation and his circumstances.
His ultimate decisions, social, political, economic and otherwise, must be grounded in that knowledge, not upon a theoretical knowledge of people who belong to the enemy.
Does this mean that he should not read the other people? Certainly, he can read other people, but his ultimate decision is based on his own analysis, upon the sound knowledge of himself, who and what he is, and upon his reality."
