Since the Texas Senate was so interesting, I pulled the 85th & 86th Texas House scores from @projecteduco. Yep, just like the senate, on average, the more money ET World gave to a House member in the 18 cycle, the worse they score on supporting pub ed. 🤔#txed #txlege

Set a bar. Agree that any teacher who reaches the bar will receive some level of pay / incentive. That’s fair.
Create a forced distribution system where you only ALLOW 5 teachers to get $90k, who may not really be better teachers than 1,500 just like them. That’s a gimmick.

A little boy with some extreme anger and behavior issues is recent transfer into the school. He’d been attending a local charter school and got kicked out because of his behavior. What happens when charter schools kick out the troubled child the school has accepted a voucher for?
