Divorce is a full-fledged industry. See who all earns from divorces:
-Spouse
-Lawyers
-Judges
-Mediators/Arbitrators (appointed to facilitate settlements)
-Notaries and Document Drafters
-Court Clerks (“fees” for faster case processing, accessing documents)
-Judges' Staff (typists, peons, runners, munshis, orderlies, drivers)
-Police
-Counselors and Therapists
-Forensic Experts
-Accountants (forensic audits to track assets, income, or hidden wealth in settlements)
-Asset Hiding Networks (professionals aiding in hiding or siphoning off assets for one spouse)
-Loan Providers
-Real Estate Sector (transactions from selling jointly-owned assets or buying properties with settlement money)
-NGOs and Activists
-Fake Witnesses
-Landlords
-Packers and Movers
-Private/govt transport and hotel industry for movement for court dates
In the USA, the divorce industry is considered to be larger than Hollywood in terms of valuation. India is heading down the same path.
I'm not against divorces. It's better to leave rather than staying in a toxic relationship all your life. My argument is against highly biased extreme laws and rampant corruption that has turned divorces into a well-oiled machinery benefiting numerous stakeholders.
