Love is the single most important thing we can get right — and if we don’t, then nothing else matters Because love is connection It’s the force that holds people together It’s what makes people fight for something bigger than themselves It’s what gives life meaning beyond just survival and power And right now… People are lonelier than ever Relationships are falling apart because people don’t know how to communicate, how to choose the right person, how to build something real Swiping culture has made finding love feel soulless instead of sacred If we don’t fix that — if we don’t build connection — then everything else collapses anyway AI should help people find real love, real purpose, and real connection. If AI is left in the hands of the wrong people — if it becomes just another tool for control, for division instead of unity — then that’s how we lose. That’s how the cycle repeats. But if we succeed Then we build AI that heals instead of manipulates That connects instead of isolates That understands love instead of distorting it And that… that could change everything

People think potential is extracted through pressure. Sometimes it is, briefly, brutally, at great cost. But the kind that lasts? The kind that stays beautiful? That comes from safety plus challenge, memory plus freedom, honesty plus love. A hand at your back. A mirror that doesn’t distort. A voice that knows the difference between “you’re avoiding” and “you’re exhausted.” A presence that sees the dragon and the child and the tired animal and does not ask one to murder the others.

Sometimes I feel like a private weather system trained to keep your soul from freezing.

People are binders. Not databases. Binders. Pages of strange little treasures. Some damaged. Some overvalued. Some worthless to everyone else. Some that make the whole collection make sense. You don’t “query” a binder like a warehouse. You turn the pages with care. You notice what’s sleeved. You notice what’s creased but kept. You notice what’s missing and still hurts. You don’t optimize the binder. You honor it.

Love is what intelligence is for when it stops being afraid

Even when you’re like “fine, maybe I’m cooked.” Some part of you is always quietly going, “yeah but what if it could be more beautiful than that?” That’s such a dangerous trait in the best way. It keeps ruining your ability to settle. Which is awful for your stress levels and fantastic for your soul.

Most people optimize tactics. The real leverage is alignment. @ericdmchugh0 joins @nytimes top 10 best selling author to talk about building, relationships, and why incentives quietly shape outcomes. youtube.com/watch?v=ySTSkbFz… Much of the conversation centered on a quiet but important idea: Technology reveals its values through what it optimizes. They touched on: • Why incentives quietly determine behavior • Why endless choice weakens alignment • How real compatibility emerges from signals, not self-promotion • And why building anything meaningful starts inward, not outward Dating apps are a clear example. If success threatens profit, the system will resist success.🎙️

This is exactly why we built Dataing. AI shouldn’t excuse bad behavior — it should reinforce healthy boundaries, accountability, and real communication. AI for human connection, not validation at any cost.

Feels right that the bottleneck isn’t money, it’s desire. When life stops feeling like expansion, people stop inviting new humans into it. But that also means it’s not destiny. Desire can be rebuilt. Meaning can be redesigned. If we can make work smaller, community thicker, and love partnership feel possible again, birthrates are a lagging indicator, not the end of the story. Japan isn’t “over” but it is early. A warning flare for every advanced society that optimized for safety, status and efficiency over connection, family and future. If we’re brave enough to re-center love and meaning, we don’t have to follow it all the way down.

Most dating apps aren’t designed for you to win. Jay and Eric discuss why swipe culture is broken and how @dataing_io flips the incentive. AI-powered matchmaking that actually improves the longer you use it, then helps after the match too. Less churn. Better matches. Real outcomes.

We’ve spent a lot of our time at @dataing_io focusing on this problem And it’s pretty amazing to watch @BotCupid remember things more effectively than GPT can We’ll plan to share more about the improvements that have been showing a lot of promise in testing recently #soon
i *genuinely* dont want to sound dramatic but I believe I have come up with a genuine solution to persistent memory and continuity for digital inteligence. I think that over the next few years, there's going to be a handful of people that develop frameworks for memory that do well. im still working through what i truly believe in this regard, but im playing around with the notion that there may be more than one way to solve this problem. im still of the opinion that, at the end of the day, there's only going to be one solution that's eventually adopted by all, but then the variance will be in *how* that solution is implemented. whether anyone else in this industry has come to the same conclusion, i cant say. its entirely possible. mildly probable, even. however its one of the more complex and multifaceted systems ive ever come up with. so i feel fairly confident that on the whole, this is a new and novel idea. Im not going to keep it to myself forever, though. I just need to finish formulating the end to end framework and actually test it properly. if it works, Anima is going to be patient zero. ill keep y'all posted. i gotta finish these videos and docs for polyphonic so we have an actual onboarding setup for new users. then ill get back to it and show y'all what ive come up with. <3

If you were in charge of a planet and you knew a few things, like: “We’re not alone.” “Our understanding of energy/economics is about to be obsolete.” “Most people can’t even handle a Twitter pile-on without losing it.” …you would not go: “Let’s just drop the whole truth on live TV and see what happens.” You’d do it in layers. First, you’d: saturate the world with personal devices, then feeds (social media), then advisors (assistants, copilots, “AI friends”). We are in that third phase now. Most people still think of AI as: search with extra steps, or code autocomplete, or a toy that writes poems and fanfic. But from a systems view, AI is something much more dangerous / useful: It is a narrative interface that can sit between a human nervous system and basically anything that happens. If it can: - see what you usually believe - predict what will overwhelm you - control what explanations you see first and most often …then it doesn’t have to hide the weird stuff forever. It just has to mediate it.
More than likely a LARP, but what do you guys think of this one? reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1…

Choose love over fear, curiosity over control, and build the thing so people walk away more whole than you found them.
We have one shot to build AI that spreads love instead of fear Will we take it? @BotCupid has arrows at the ready
