This WSOP was the first I had just a tinge of regret about leaving the live reporting game.
Just a tinge.
Still happy to be 50 credit hours towards a dual major and a stable life, but I still get the itch when I see Mizrachi and Glaser and Deeb all go ham.

As I transition out of the poker/football world of writing and fully into the poetry world, I'm trying to figure out how exactly to get poetry out there in an era where poetry may be at its least respected.

One day the #WSOP will actually throw reporters a bone and pay them what their super niche, specialized skill set is worth (both PN and P Org)

I decided to sadly pass on the reporter gig.
The pay was $175-200 for 12-16 hour days AND you had to pay your own lodging during the WSOP. 😵💫
How anyone makes any money and doesn't live in Vegas is beyond me.
When you see a reporter, thank them. They truly love the game.

I ain't coming back, I just wanna know when the work becomes worth the grind for the poor bastards currently getting shredded for not breaking the journalist's credo while simultaneously getting ripped on for sucking
