Consultants always tell you not to respond to your critics and normally I follow that advice.  But just today a new attack was levied against us that is simply untrue. You can read this latest attack on a new campaign website created by some of my opponent's strongest supporters.  The accusation made is that we have a "convention budget shortfall of approximately $651,086, with concerns that the number may continue to grow."  Here are some important facts.  When you factor in the party's current bank balances of our State, federal and corporate accounts, plus the registration money that has yet to be transferred and a small amount of outstanding sponsorships, we have around $100,000 of uncovered convention expenses, nowhere near the amount being stated.  When you factor in the registrations that will be paid over the next couple of days, that budget shortfall will not only be covered but we will turn a profit. This is how the math works every single convention, and I'm confident that all our bills will be covered and money will continue to be raised.  At the last convention we raised approximately $900,000 in direct convention sponsorships and fundraising. This year we currently have just over $1,300,000 and are continuing to raise more money every single day.  This race should remain focused on facts, and all sides must be honest with the delegates.

There's more work to be done as we head into the 90th, but to ensure that happens, we must beat the radical Democrats in November. I was Paxton’s lead lawyer in the fraudulent impeachment. Our team consisted of more than twenty lawyers. I understand that my friend Dan Cogdell publicly supports AG Paxton’s opponent. I’m not surprised by this. Mr. Cogdell is a life-long Democrat. I also understand that Mr. Cogdell recently got crossways with AG Paxton concerning some real estate development that Paxton opposed and Cogdell represented. AG Paxton (and Governor Abbott) alleged that the developer sought to impose Sharia law. Now you know the rest of the story. I firmly support AG Paxton for US Senate.
