Unions are not incompatible with capitalism. In fact, unions exist within capitalism & thus are not inherently transformational organs. Without "using their organized forces as a lever for the abolition of the wages system," they can do nothing but slow the decline of the masses.

When I was in 9th grade, my edgy male classmate wrote a paper asserting that prostitution prevents rape and then sent it to me as a "gotcha." That argument has all the intellectual prowess of a 14-year-old boy.
Too many men hold this view that porn/prostitution is a necessity to keep men from raping like they need access to naked women at all times or itβs impossible to just be a moral human and not rape

Cause unfortunately I was on one of those teams in 2012. We traveled with the republican primary that year for cover, stood up groups everywhere the campaign trail stopped. It was less online in those days but we were much more technically skilled than oafs like @jacksonhinkle.

In a just society, porn would cause riots in the streets. If we were not so trained to deny our own dignity, women would take up arms against the constant onslaught of misogyny and violence to which we are subjected. We are not free.

Jacobin actually making some good points here but missing key critiques like the fact that Smalls' struggle was grounded in Economism and all the limits of Trade Unionist politics, even before Chris pushed forward an affiliation w the notoriously national chauvinist Teamsters.
Chris Smalls shot to prominence for playing a key role in the shock union win at a New York Amazon warehouse. He was charismatic and energetic at a time labor needed both.

I have never regretted sobriety: no drugs, no alcohol, no unhealthy food. I think so many of us have never experienced true health, and thus we don't know how good healthy feels. I wake up every day feeling my best, and it makes life so much easier.
