A leaked forensic audit confirms what RIers already suspected: RIDOT ignored repeated maintenance warnings for years — and the Gov kept those findings hidden from the legislature and the public.
The Gov vowed to hold those responsible accountable, yet concealed the audit.
The Oversight Committees can — and should — compel testimony under oath. That may be the only way to get the truth from the Gov and RIDOT officials.
