Entirely the wrong product. No demand for this. Zero.
Tokenized equities are an access product. People who don’t have access will jump through HOOPS OF FIRE to be able to invest in U.S. equities. We see this at
@glider__, most of our users are outside the US.
Meanwhile, people on Robinhood could give ZERO FUCKS if the asset is tokenized. They already have access. If anything Robinhood will just do this themselves. And make the UX so seamless, you won’t be able to compete.
The only way to get people to convert is by offering special onchain functionality: 24/7 liquidity, lending, borrowing, collateral. And that’s where the money is made (not in putting the asset onchain). More things we are building
@glider__.
But let me tell you, you’re not going to convince 99.999% of the traditional users to ever do this.
Not only that, how do you monetize this transfer. People are not going to pay for it. And once they’re onchain, backpack is not the interface for them. Not the app layer.
Good luck
@Backpack.
Are your tokenized stocks giving you the real thing?
On/off-ramp securities between traditional brokers and
@solana.
Soon.
