The Knicks winning every game except the one Trump was at is better lore than if they actually won every game

A couple of Germans on a road trip have done more to inspire patriotism ahead of America’s 250th anniversary than the entirety of the U.S. government.

Ignore Trump this weekend. I mean completely ignore him. Ignore his birthday, ignore his desecration of the people’s house, ignore every lie & every idiotic thing he’ll say this weekend. Instead, enjoy yourself this weekend. And on Monday, resume the fight to defeat him & defend democracy.

Some say this is pandering to Republicans. I disagree. In order to implement change you have to work with those you disagree with. Majority of Cornyn supporters are your run of the mill classic conservative who despise the MAGA movement. They will vote for someone who is willing to address the issues they’re facing, or simply not vote at all. That’s not pandering. That’s welcoming people who will help him win.

Talarico: We've heard from a lot of Cornyn supporters who are joining this movement that we're building. This is a movement that's a lot bigger than any one political party. It's a lot bigger than any one politician. This is really about all of us coming together to defeat the most corrupt politician in America, so that then we can defeat this corrupt system.

.@JamesTalarico: There's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man. Recently on the campaign trail I told the story of my adoptive dad, Mark Talarico. Every Saturday morning, he would mow our lawn, and then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because she was a widow. My dad never talked about it — he just did it, because that's what a man does. A man takes responsibility, upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors, and does what's right, even when no one is watching. Here's what real men don't do. They don't lie and cheat their way through life, sell their soul to the highest bidder, or steal from other people in order to enrich themselves. Real men serve others. Weak men serve themselves. I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man, and I don't think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is.

I think we’re far enough into his term to acknowledge that Mamdani is a great mayor. I think it’s also clear that what makes him a great mayor are his communication, personality, style, and instincts, not specifically where he falls on the political ideology axis. Therefore, when the 2028 Democratic primary heats up, I think more focus should be placed on these qualities, with less focus on analysis of the minutia of policy positions.

Wow. Putin is looking weaker by the day.
BREAKING: Russia has canceled its annual Russia Day concert on Red Square in Moscow for the first time in 23 years. Putin is not expected to appear or deliver a speech. Russian media report security concerns and fears of potential strikes. 👀

Cool. How about you do some checking and balancing @JohnCornyn? You’ve got a lotta months to put those words into action.
Cornyn unchained “There’s never going to be good enough for him, other than 100%, you know, slavish adherence to whatever he wants. But obviously that’s not what the senator’s role is supposed to be, especially in terms of checks and balances.” @hillhulse nytimes.com/2026/06/11/us/jo…
