Fantastic day campaigning in #Makerfield yesterday. More than 1,200 supporters and volunteers came together from across the country to back our fantastic candidate, Rebecca Shepherd. What came through loud and clear on the doorstep was a sense of betrayal. Many lifelong Labour voters told us they feel let down by Keir Starmer and no longer recognise the Labour Party they once supported. The support for Rebecca Shepherd was incredible. She allowed convicted child rapist (below) Daniel Cieslak to walk free with an absolute discharge after he raped a 12-year-old girl. Instead of a conviction for rape, she said the child “looked over 16” and let him off completely — no jail, no sex offenders register. In another case, she praised Algerian rapist Hamadache Hamza for “overcoming his difficult background” and setting up a hairdressing business, after he brutally raped a woman leaving her with internal injuries.
