It's the type of advice leaders fall prey to often. "Spend most of your time developing your weaknesses to become a stronger leader" -- when really, you could acknowledge those weaknesses but use your strengths to make up for them.
It's my #3 - a useful companion. I often reflect on how important this was during my 12 years in radio news. It became a stumbling block in a corporate setting until I fully understood its power thanks to @CliftonStr.
Managers need to communicate updates and ask questions. But perhaps even more importantly, employees need to feel like their opinions count and they can freely discuss roadblocks, ideas and other workplace concerns (with their manager and teammates). #cliftonstrengths
