In a landmark stage of the Sunbeam 1000hp restoration, @natlmotormuseum engineers have almost completed the rebuild of its rear engine after years of work to strip, clean and restore it.

National Motor Museum engineers are ready to start the engine rebuild of Land Speed Record breaker Sunbeam 1000hp. They plan to run the 22.5 litre Matabele engine of the car and funds are needed to complete the restoration. Read more: bit.ly/3MfX1Rw #LandSpeed #Sunbeam

Didn't know they used multi plate clutches in 1926. This one is from #Sunbeam1000hp currently being restored at #nationalmotormuseum before heading back to #daytonabeach 2027.
