Carbon crunch: the number of tons of CO2 European power stations, steel mills and cement plans can emit just became much smaller.
The so-called linear reduction factor was increased from 2.2% to 4.4% in the latest EU ETS reform.

The blistering growth in China's solar power installations this year is largely driven by distributed/rooftop projects, which *tripled* in the first quarter while installations overall increased 140%. Much of the rooftop projects are enabled by this ambitious & smart policy.

Das war voraussehbar: #Bauministerin #Geywitz plädiert für #seriellesBauen. Was machen die lieben Journalistenkollegen: illustrieren die Meldung mit #Plattenbau der DDR! Sie sprach auch nicht von "einheitlicherer Bauweise", sondern von modularem Bauen. Ergo: "andere Baustelle".

Very good question! This is why passive houses need shading above the windows so they don't overheat in the summer. Naturally the sun is much higher on the horizon in the summer compared to winter so the shading stops ALL the sun and the temp is the same throughout whole year :)
