Inspiring to see young Indians leading the way in sustainability. 🌱🇮🇳 Aman Sharma transformed his terrace into a thriving urban jungle, creating space for birds, butterflies, and biodiversity in the heart of Delhi. Stories like these remind us that conservation starts with individual action. India’s youth are not just inheriting the future - they’re actively shaping it. 👏🌍 #Sustainability thebetterindia.com/environme…

Dust that keeps us alive. 😯 This video shows how deeply connected our seemingly separate world really is.

Japan's way of keeping waterways clean: make them home to fish. 🐟 When people can see life thriving in the water, they're far less likely to throw garbage into it. A simple reminder that good design can change behavior better than rules.

The West has largely reduced yoga to a fitness regimen, overlooking its deeper aspects. As a result, India's rich contribution to yoga has become increasingly marginalized in the global narrative. The subtler aspects of yoga, those that can profoundly transform a human being by reshaping one's perception of oneself and the world, are often absent from contemporary studio-based yoga classes. It is time for us to take pride in our cultural heritage, where this extraordinary science of yoga originated, and present it to the world in its true depth and completeness. #Yoga

Most sculptors work with stone, wood, metal, but Pattnaik's canvas is sand - that material which slips through our fingers! Sudarsan Pattnaik as a child didn't think if something was possible or not possible, he just used whatever was available as his canvass! Today this Padma Shri awardee teaches his art to aspirants too. You made Bharat proud ji!

#WATCH | World-renowned Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has won the Russia Grand Sand Master Cup 2026 at the II International Festival of Sand Sculpture in the Kaliningrad Region, Russia. He becomes the first Indian sand artist to receive this prestigious honor. Speaking about his win, he says, "This is a very big honor for me as an artist to win this cup. For my art on climate change, as a first Indian, I have won this cup, the Grand Sun Master Cup of 2026... I always try to make sculpture with the message. here we have shown climate impact around the world and what we have to do for the climate change. Thanks to the jury and organizers who selected for me for this award. It is a very big honor for me and for my country. I'd to thank all my fans for all those who always support me." Mount Kailash remains one of the few places where reverence has prevailed over conquest. Sacred to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of Bon, it stands as a powerful reminder that some wonders are meant to be respected, contemplated, and admired - not conquered.
Mount Kailash, a sacred peak in the Himalayas, lies in Tibet. It has never been climbed.

🌾 India's rice story is far richer than just white rice. While white rice dominates our plates, traditional varieties like black rice, red rice, and brown rice pack far more fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Among them, Black Rice stands out as the nutritional powerhouse, rich in anthocyanins, iron, and antioxidants. Eat diverse. Eat nutritious. 🌱

The secret ingredient isn't an ingredient - it's a technique. Many people blend dates and dry fruits raw. I prefer lightly cooking the dates first. It brings out a richer flavor and helps the laddoos bind better. How do you make yours: raw or cooked dates? 👇

The resilience of marine ecosystems is remarkable, but they are not invincible. When organisms producing half our oxygen face acidification, that's a vulnerability we can't ignore. The science is clear. Will we act on it?
Imagine waking up and half the oxygen on Earth is gone. Sounds impossible? The oceans produce around 50% of the oxygen we breathe. The planet's biggest life-support system isn't on land, it's underwater. 🧵👇 (1/5) #WorldOceansDay

A powerful reminder. Nearly 95% of our food comes from soil, yet about one-third of the world's soils are already degraded. Tree-based agriculture (agroforestry) can help reverse this trend by reducing erosion, improving soil organic matter, enhancing biodiversity, and restoring soil health. Healthy soil isn't just dirt - it's the foundation of our food, ecosystems, and future. 🌱🌳🌍
“A teaspoon of healthy soil holds more living organisms than there are people on planet Earth” Yet humans are rapidly degrading world soil and threatening world food supply Without soil, there would be few plants on the land and nothing for us or animals to eat sciencefocus.com/planet-eart…

Here's the good news: When protected, oceans recover. Fish populations rebound. Coral reefs heal. Marine ecosystems return. Nature is resilient - if we give it a chance. 🐠💙 (4/5)

The ocean regulates our climate, feeds billions, and helps every breath we take. Protecting it isn't just about saving nature. It's about protecting our future. 🌍💙 Happy #WorldOceansDay (5/5)

Here's the paradox: some of the happiest moments in life don't feel relaxing at all. No deadlines. No pressure. No alarms. That's how many of us picture happiness. But a psychologist spent decades studying human fulfillment and found something surprising: Our best moments rarely happen when we're relaxing. They happen when we're so absorbed in a challenge that we forget to check our phone, forget the time, and even forget ourselves. The writer. The coder. The athlete. The artist. Hours disappear. The work remains. Maybe the good life isn't about escaping effort. Maybe it's about finding something worth getting lost in. That's what psychologists call "flow"—and it might be closer to happiness than leisure ever was. spacedaily.com/m-we-tend-to-…
