Giddey should be dropped ASAP regardless of what you do with Coby, but AK blew an opportunity to capitalize on Coby's value on a low cost deal.
Coby would have fit in well with teams like OKC and Magic who need another offensive creator.

Bulls VP Arturas Karnisovas: "There's different structures that you can try to get to a championship. There's 2-3 star players and then a lot of role players or you can build it as 9-10 very good players."

Teams were very likely asking the Bulls to take their bad contracts for Lonzo.
I'll take Lonzo on essentially a 1 year deal instead of taking bad contracts of another team. Unless I know those teams offering 1st round pick(s) in return, I'm not going to be upset by this.

KC Johnson verified the Timberwolves have called about Lonzo Ball. Said the Bulls have fielded several calls from teams. The nonstarter has been Bulls don't want long term money. Essentially nothing with more than 1.5 years on left on it.
