I actually use a projector setup at home...repaired an epson a while back, and it's honestly quite difficult to tell the difference between 4k and 1080p. you'd think it'd be easier to tell with such a large screen at a close distance, but it's not. I honestly think part of it has to do with looking at reflected light vs self-emissive pixels. the extra light bounce might be softening the pixels edges a bit
