What you have to remember about the Spain Cape Verde game is that in the last World Cup, Argentina did lose to Saudi Arabia and went onto win the whole thing. While they will be disappointed to draw 0-0, you can't rule Cape Verde out of winning the whole thing yet.

The Phillies are screwed.
They don’t have the prospects to buy significantly at the deadline, and they don’t have anyone to sell. Meanwhile they have a ton of awful contracts.
It’s gonna be several years before this team is a genuine contender again.

Even if the Phils lose today, even if it would be a bummer to lose a Sanchy start, 3-3 on this road trip is a decent outcome. They're managing the schedule fine.
But this Trea Turner stuff is rough. It's June 14th and he has a .600 OPS to go with well below average defense.

Ultimately the thing that held them back from taking the next step and will doom them moving forward is that they developed zero hitters through their system and really haven’t developed much young pitching outside of college relievers.
We’ll see if guys like Wood/Fisher pan out
