I really dislike the phrase ‘start a family’ when people are talking about having children. Children don’t make somebody a family. Me and my boyfriend and our pets are a family. Best friends in a house share can be a family. Siblings living in flat are a family.

The next time you, a person who doesn't care about the pandemic anymore, thinks "well it's okay because it's for my mental health" please consider all of the disabled people who don't even GET to have that because people refuse to reduce their covid risk.
