Big news today: we're excited to announce the launch of the Salton Sea Conservancy, our first new conservancy in 15 years. The conservancy will help deliver and sustain restoration projects improving air quality, wildlife habitat and community health.
I just established the Salton Sea Conservancy to contain and eliminate the harmful air contaminants being released by the shrinking Imperial Valley lake. We're going to fight this head-on, accelerate restoration work, and protect communities who've suffered for far too long.
