Trail hunting ban discussed in today’s Sunday Express. Ann Mallalieu, a Labour Peer and our president warned: “I urge my party to reset its relationship with rural people and focus on delivering for them, not against them.”⬇️

“The government’s ban on trail hunting and its threats to restrict shooting are not about class war, they are about culture war. A war against the independent, self-reliant and defiant culture of the countryside”. ✍️@CA_TimB countryside-alliance.org/fea…

“If the Government can stop tearing itself apart long enough to pursue its ban on trail-hunting, shooting will be next in its sights”. @CA_TimB for @ShootingTimes. It takes seconds to oppose the trail hunting ban. Time is running out. Click here➡️ countryside-alliance.org/tra…

🚨The ‘stop the war on the countryside’ van out in Westminster today! People are fed up of the toxic culture war on the countryside. Rural communities need the government to start legislating for them, not against them. Oppose the trail hunting ban: futureforhunting.co.uk

Huge shout out to @CAupdates and @CAevs who organise and run these awards every year - they do an outstanding job of championing the countryside and those who live and work in it - proof there is power in the little people out there - we are small, we are few but we are mighty 💪
Well where do I start!! It’s only just sinking in that we have actually won the Countryside Alliance Welsh Champion Award for Rural Enterprise 🤩 Never in a million years did I think our little micro tannery in west wales would be nominated, supported, & voted for so many times!

We heard a lot of this prior to the general election but rural people have been let down. Mr Burnham, like anyone else jostling for the keys to Number 10, needs to fundamentally overhaul Labour’s approach to the countryside: no more culture wars! telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

A huge response to this recent programme! We spent the day meeting men and women who depend on trail hunting for their livelihoods. Since the programme aired on GB News yesterday, lots of people have responded to oppose the government’s proposed ban on the activity. Thank you!

Thank you to everybody that has responded to this important story by completing our e-lobby in the last 24 hours 👏 People can see the government’s toxic culture war against rural people for what it is: a distraction. You too can oppose the ban. It takes seconds. Link below⬇️

Trail hunting was introduced after the Hunting Act 2004 as an alternative to fox hunting. Labour pledged to ban the practice in its 2024 manifesto, but organisations are now lobbying MPs to oppose the move, warning it could put 1,000 rural jobs at risk. @annarileynews

“You just look at the village itself, we’ve got no school left, we’ve got no shop. We’re the only local pub still surviving, and we’ve got the hunt, which is a social gathering. We’re like the last man standing”. An important watch⬇️ youtu.be/MPWFcRecInU?si=IkcT…
