There is no accountability in this ICE funding. No oversight. No reforms. Just a blank check from Republicans who are ignoring what their own constituents are demanding.
The demand from Americans has been consistent: lower costs, commonsense reforms, and accountability. Republicans delivered the opposite and called it governance.
Democrats are fighting for lower costs, safer communities, and real accountability. This Republican budget moves in the opposite direction on every single count.
Americans can't afford groceries. They can't afford gas. A trip to the doctor is out of reach. Republicans responded with billions for ICE and a personal fund for Trump.
Last year Republicans cut food assistance for kids, veterans, and seniors to fund tax breaks for billionaires. This budget is the same playbook, same beneficiaries, same harm.
Republicans put $70 billion into ICE and handed Trump a $1.8 billion slush fund. There is not a single dollar in this bill to lower grocery prices, gas prices, or the cost of a doctor's visit.

The NAACP is condemning the U.S. Supreme Court's latest decision allowing Alabama to use a congressional map previously found to be intentionally discriminatory against Black voters, warning that the ruling marks another dangerous step in the dismantling of voting rights in the state and across the country.
The Court's action follows its most recent decision in Louisiana v. Callais, which has triggered racial gerrymandering efforts across the South.
