Today's #TreeTuesday is a special one. We hosted a community planting event on #ParkersPiece #Cambridge to plant 12 elm #trees (Ulmus 'New Horizon') - a hybrid of Japanese & Siberian elms. Some of the 33 new trees being planted on this iconic open space in the heart of the city.

The #StateofHedgehogs report shows a mixed picture for this much loved fellow nocturnal species. The 11 bat species monitored under the National Bat Monitoring Programme also show some initial encouraging signs of recovery but only in some places bats.org.uk/news/2021/05/pos…
