Delighted to see our co-founder @Kayla_cooley present on irresponsible reporting on suicide today at @TUS_ie for @SSCatTUS_ie Autumn Series
Key Point : Ireland’s media has a long way to go in developing and adhering to safe practices around reporting on suicide
The standard of reporting on suicide in Limerick has long been a serious concern. We've spoken to two news outlets in Limerick about their coverage and were assured of serious changes.
It seems as though clicks and comments are more valuable than facilitating safe 1/2
responsible and educational conversations. Nothing changes if nothing changes and this dangerous, cold, reward-seeking reporting must be called out. 2/2
Thanks for coming out to us today and for the providing an extremely beneficial, informed and actionable training course @RCNIreland
We’re looking forward to working to working with you again!
Just finished up a full day of Rape Crisis, Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence Training with Dr.Michelle Walsh from @RCNIreland
Lots of our @CCRTLim volunteers have now completed rape crisis, sexual violence and eating disorder training over the last month
Delighted to work with @TUS_ie 4th year Social Care students in Ennis today around their psychological interventions module with @Caitriona_Mac
We talked a lot about the work we do at @CCRTLim but also research around suicide and trauma currently happening under @SSCatTUS_ie
