Wanting more and better for myself everyday doesn’t mean that I’m not grateful or appreciative of what I have now. For me, it means that I’ve seen myself accomplish great things before and I know that I can do it again and again and again. I trust myself to always get more.

Interesting how the world often treats the French Revolution as the only great symbol of freedom and rights, while the Haitian Revolution is treated like a footnote. Yet, Haiti did what many abolitionists elsewhere only preached, i.e., enslaved people rising up and defeating an empire, abolishing slavery, and claiming freedom by force. Haiti’s history deserves equal, and maybe greater, reverence.

actually i think zohran should do this with even more stuff. litter pickup. street sweeping. crossing guards. park maintenance. i dont even care. employ the citys citizens to do beautification. i think thats worth 35/hr and it benefits everyone.
zohran mamdani gave out $35 per hour to shovel snow to any person, so naturally each side walk intersection is now being shoveled by like 7 ppl. this is exactly how the government operates: without thinking about any second order affects & also because spending other ppl’s money (tax) is super duper easy.
show me the incentives & i will show you the outcome.

I refuse to live like I haven’t been fortunate enough to grow through experiences that made me who I am. You can have a sense of curiosity, wonder and fun without being childlike. I don’t fear aging. I fear not living, stuck looking back, not appreciating all stages of life.

We are overstimulated and we don't even notice. Netflix while eating. Reels in the bathroom. Music while cooking. Podcasts on walks. We consume by default, not by intention. You keep filling every gap, then wonder why you feel foggy and unmotivated.
Boredom and silence are the real growth drivers. They give you space to think and create. That's when solutions show up for problems that have been stuck for months. Leave some room.
