Welcome to 2026.
I had my whole genome sequenced, ended up with 250GB of raw sequencing data, and decoded, annotated, and explored it locally on my RTX 5090.
Codex and Claude helped research the science, build the pipeline, and turn it into a fully interactive 3D app for exploring my DNA.
Now I can understand more about my ancestry, traits, inherited risks, family patterns, and the biological clues behind how my body works, including how my genetics may influence medication response, drug metabolism, nutrient needs, food sensitivities, and lifestyle choices.
I’ve already started making lifestyle changes from what I learned. I have a clearer picture of what I may pass to my kids, what may run in my family, and where I should be more proactive about prevention, screening, and long-term health.
Genomics is not destiny, but it is information. And information can change behavior.
This is what AI and technology should do: help people understand themselves better, make more informed decisions, and turn complex data into something useful for everyday life.
We live in an incredible time of opportunity.
