Something I never thought I'd say, I'm taking my talents to that dark, haunted city that is neither the South nor the Midwest nor the West... St Louis. I look forward to the coming harassment as I call games for the @Cardinals. Goodbye ATL 🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓

"Dealies", the new animated series by Green Street Pictures (Common Side Effects, Scavenger’s Reign), for Netflix. Showrunners: Joe Bennett & Ted Travelstead. The story of employees at a big box store. I'm so happy that I made a custom poster using the first key visual 😃

Parenti talks about this in his famous “yellow” lecture. Denial of education and literacy is denial of a full existence, of dignity and opportunity, of one’s very humanity. The less you know about the world, and the less you can learn on your own, the easier you are to control.

Beyond the arguments, it’s just really sad that most people in this country, from kids to adults, can’t and don’t read. Literacy is so essential to a dignified and intelligent life, and there used to be a national push for it not too long ago. And now it’s damn near gone.

It’s never been a bustling 24/7 city* - but last time I was in SF the total desolation of Embarcadero to Union Square on a mild sunny week day, the constantly circling empty driverless white waymos- a hollowed out ghost place - i hate tech people so much I don’t even have words
Apr 27
NYC observations after spending last week there • people are actually outside touching grass (or cement 😅) • very few AI ads or billboards around • even cafes i went to - very few screens with claude code or cursor or some coding tool • people are way more open to socializing. everyone is willing to strike up a conversation (not about AI agents) • the energy is electric - everyone’s moving with purpose. • found a way to talk to folks without mentioning AI • way more artists, and non traditional creators. Met an actual physical product designer which was cool. it’s genuinely refreshing to remember there’s a whole world outside the feed been traveling the last few days and the SF tech bubble makes it easy to forget how alive real cities feel. sorry SF, you’re still home… but perspective is healthy 🤷‍♂️

Impressive work Daniel Mendoza! 😍 Daniel is a Freelance 3D Generalist Artist, and he created this chocolate simulation in #Houdini, combining POP, Vellum, and FLIP simulations along with procedural modeling techniques. Rendered it using Karma XPU.

When I gaze at the beauty of nature around the world and can only access it through a phone screen, I ask myself: is it because I was born in a place I didn't choose that I'm forced to endure things no human should ever have to bear or even imagine the horror of? Just the thought that I might live and die having experienced nothing in life but pain, loss, and tears, while knowing that there's a beautiful side of the world I will never reach because of a geographical coincidence, drives me mad every single day. It makes me ache even more than the pain I already live through in Gaza.

how it feels to accept that reality is just a carbon-based simulation where your infinite consciousness gets to play as a human avatar and remember itself as the creator of all experience despite the inherent limitations of a fragile physical existence
