Our paper on Stopless-ORF Circular RNAs (socRNAs) is now out in Cell. By high-res tracking and comparing translation by either single or multiple ribosomes, we find that ribosomes cooperate to overcome pausing to ensure fast and efficient translation

mRNAs play structural roles in the cytoplasm.
The longest mRNAs bound to FXR1 generate an mRNA-protein assembly that plays an essential role in cellular signaling by enabling proximity of proteins without RNA binding domains.

We suggest that circHIPK3 may nucleate several copies of IGF2BP2 per circRNA molecule, likely via phase separation. More speculatively, only a small fraction of IGF2BP2 may be available for RNA binding or an enzymatic modification of IGF2BP2 may take place on the circRNA.

Finally, we find no evidence that circHIPK3 functions by tethering miRNAs, as has been suggested by numerous studies mostly based on circRNA overexpression, expression of miRNA mimics and/or miRNA reporter assays. @MolBiolAU
