The biggest legacy of KOSA won't be safer kids online. It will be a larger system for verifying identities and collecting personal information across the internet.
๐ŸšจThe US Senate is reportedly negotiating with the White House to get KOSA in exchange for AI preemption. KOSA is widely supported by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, as well as many "conservative" organizations, think tanks, and parental rights groups. But KOSA doesn't protect children, it instead mandates data collection on every minor user. ๐Ÿงต

Post from 2020. Considering that government educationโ€™s budget is $1 trillion/year, and produces monumental levels of illiteracy, itโ€™s time for homeschooling.

"You disagree with us!!! Who's paying you???" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ Our policy positions are made in alignment with the Constitution. If people support those positions and would like to contribute to our work, we welcome the partnership. We started out of passion for protecting families and freedom, and we will continue to do so. Now...what part of the fact check did you want to debate?

KOSA may have (misguided) support in the Senate but there is hardly consensus in the House where many lawmakers recognize its constitutional challenges, policy omissions and overall ineffectuality at preventing harm.

THE BOTTOM LINE โฌ‡๏ธ KOSA doesn't deliver the protection parents are promised. Instead it builds a compliance machine on your child's behavioral data and hands it to unvetted third parties with no security floor. ๐Ÿ”—Learn more here: conservativeladiesofamerica.โ€ฆ

We hear people say, "Look at what's going on over there!" Our response? Look at what's going on over here. The steady march against privacy is happening around the world. To "protect the children" or "prevent crime" is only the excuse.

PARENTAL TOOLS ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง They say: KOSA gives parents real controls: default protective settings, time limits, account management. What it really does: The tools are real, but so is the new behavioral data collection on your child, handed to private auditors with zero security standards. Parental tools without data protection are not parental empowerment. Parents already have access to robust parental controls that are getting better all the time. 5/

๐Ÿ“ต35 states have banned phones in schools. Red governors, blue governors, same policy. That kind of consensus should prompt questions, not applause. Because while the phone goes in the locker, the school-issued Chromebook stays open...and nobody's talking about what's running on it. ๐Ÿ†•on Substack: The One Thing Every Politician Agrees On And What They're Not Telling You ๐Ÿ”—conservativeladiesofamerica.โ€ฆ

๐ŸšจUPDATE: Arizona Senate passed HB 2311 June 9, 2026. The Senate version IS an improvement over the House version, but still not "good." Full update: conservativeladiesofamerica.โ€ฆ #azleg #digitalid

Arizona's HB 2311 is another bill that forces ageโ€‘gating, identity checks, and expanded data collection. We're seeing a wave of these policies across the country. Universal age-verification is a de facto Digital ID w/massive data privacy implications. conservativeladiesofamerica.โ€ฆ

โ€ผ๏ธParents already have voluntary tools that accomplish this without a mandate ๐ŸŸฉThis week Apple previewed new child safety features giving parents the ability to block or pause social media, gate app downloads behind parental consent, and rely on age-based App Store restrictions
