I met with local #farmers from @CLAtweets last week and what I heard was really concerning. Our farmers are being incentivised by the government not to grow food. Instead, they're being encouraged to put solar panels on some of our best agricultural land. It's madness. We should be supporting the people who feed this country, not making life harder for them. If we continue down this road, we'll become increasingly reliant on imported food, while our own farming communities are pushed to the brink. We should be backing #Britishfarmers, protecting our farmland and producing more food here at home. I’ll do what I can to protect our farmers.
