Yesterday, we announced charges against two individuals for vandalizing Fern Creek Park, including the space Miracle League of Louisville calls home.
It’s a shame someone chose to damage such a special place. The Miracle League is about making sports accessible and fun for everyone, and every time Rachel and I attend a game, we leave inspired, by the athletes and by how much these games mean to our community.
We will not tolerate behavior that compromises our shared public spaces. Thanks to our new Park Ranger program, we have more resources to respond quickly and keep our parks safe and enjoyable.
I’m grateful for the swift action of Chief Park Ranger James Brown and the
@loukyparks Southeast Maintenance team, who immediately got to work cleaning up graffiti and preparing the field for athletes to play this weekend.
Park rangers are seeking information to help identify a third suspect. If you can help, please call the
@LMPD tip line at 574-LMPD.
If you’ve never visited Miracle League of Louisville, now is a great time to show your support. Stop by tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
