I spoke exclusively with the leaders of @ENERGY & @Interior aboard the Sable Offshore Oil Corp's platform off the Santa Barbara coast.
The Trump Administration recently invoked the Defense Production Act to resume oil production there. It'd been halted since a major oil spill in 2015.
The President is now considering a 5 year plan to expand oil drilling off the CA coast for the first time in decades.
"Pres. Trump on 'drill, baby, drill' means energy abundance," @SecretaryBurgum told me.
Environmentalists say the risks of another spill are too high & they're fighting the actions in court.
