We were so touched when RPD Koda of @CNPolFed joined our family today, not just because of the faith put in us, but also because of the moving tribute Koda’s dad shared with us. Here it is: ‘Koda was my first General Purpose PD, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better dog.   He was bred by @GMPDogs and I've had him since he was 9 weeks old.  He's taught me so much, I am so grateful to him for everything I have learned from him, he has definitely made me a better handler.   A tear was shed when he retired, his head was still very much in the game but sadly old age caught up with him and it wasn't viable to put him forward for licensing this year. We've done so much together, I am indebted to him for his unwavering loyalty and for protecting me and the public since he was first licensed in 2015.   He really is my best friend.’ This really could not be a better example of how handlers feel about their animals. The bond is unbreakable, the connection and loyalty like no other. Welcome to the NFRSA RPD Koda, we are very proud to have the opportunity to be there for you if you need us. Thank you for your service, and enjoy that well-deserved retirement. 💜
