In Kano, especially in markets like Kwari, there are young men around Salim Goje's age who are far wealthier than him. Anyone observing Salim Goje's life today will notice that even his real estate business no longer seems to receive the attention it deserves. Some may argue that he has employees handling it, but serious business-minded people will understand what I mean. He is constantly attending events, celebrations, and social gatherings. Lesson at 40. I am an ideas person, but more importantly, I am someone willing to take the execution risk. Over the last 20 years in the entertainment industry, I have signed more than 15 artists and 8 producers. Not all of them succeeded. In fact, the success rate was probably around 20–25%. But that small percentage achieved results that far outweighed the rest. That’s how business works.
