It’s pretty ironic X have said I violated their rules because I called out Isabel Oakeshott for calling benefits claimants “parasites”. So me calling her vile is forbidden but her calling a whole group of people parasites is fine. Hello like wtf is up with that?

Thank you. I’ve just heard all those recordings from @hyperionrecords are now downloaded. Glad more people can hear what we got up to in the 80s and 90s which were amazing times to record for top companies.

Liz Truss has not ruled out being Prime Minister again. I have not ruled out winning the Euro millions and going on a big community tour as one half of a double act that shall be known as Pinky and the Bloke (on wheels).

"We must stand up for classical music on its own terms and vouch for it without limply falling back on the utilitarian argument that it makes a contribution to GDP. If we don’t, it will be game over... and soon. The time to stop apologising is now." @amwilson_opera 🔥again today
Me for @TheCriticMag. "We must find the courage to suppress our embarrassment, our nervousness about being labelled “snobs”, and explain why classical music has value, is worth bothering with, and is something anyone can enjoy". thecritic.co.uk/the-love-tha…

Absolutely this, as I've been saying like a stuck record. It is a potentially thriving industry, it helps creative thinking, it makes souls sing and keeps minds healthy BUT in the end we should support culture because it's the most glorious celebration of our humanity.
