Again for those in the back, Elon once offered to cut a check for $6 BILLION to the WFB to "eliminate World hunger" as they said the money could. His one condition was that the accounting was public.
They did not accept.

Elon Musk dismantled USAID programs that provided lifesaving assistance to millions of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people. The human cost was enormous, while DOGE’s net fiscal impact was inconsequential.
Now, as Musk approaches trillionaire status, he should commit/tithe at least $100 billion to a fund dedicated to combating extreme poverty, hunger, preventable disease, and humanitarian crises worldwide.
Money alone cannot undo the damage already done. But if this moment marks an unprecedented personal financial milestone, it should also be an opportunity for an unprecedented act of restitution. Musk has the resources to save and improve countless lives. He should use them.

You may not realize this, or you might as you are quite astute with regards to US history. If we experience a long overdue economic contraction of some duration, Florida now will be the quasi-equivalent of 1930's California.

Holy smokes. Stephen Miller says he believes that the fraud and waste being uncovered by the Anti-Fraud Taskforce is so widespread, that dealing with it could balance the budget:
"This is the fastest in history that a government task force has traveled from creation to action."
"Fraud is every bit as bad as President Trump said it was, and even worse ... I believe from what I've seen, from what I've heard, that we could balance the federal budget if the only dollars that went out of the Treasury went to individuals who were properly, lawfully, correctly eligible."
If that's even 50% true, we owe it to the American people to not stop until every red cent of fraud is rooted out.

.@elonmusk was eight years old the first time his father called him worthless.
"He would stand in the living room and be berated by his father for hours. It's not just like a mean comment. He'd scream in his face and call him worthless and useless and stupid.
He got beat up very badly — stomped by a gang of kids and was in the hospital for like a week, unrecognizable face. And his dad sided with the bullies and called him stupid for picking a fight.
That is an unbelievably brutal place to start.
Some of these rumors about how privileged he was actually come from his dad lying and trying to take credit for some of his success.
Elon arrived as an immigrant to Canada at 17, paid his way through college, graduated with student debt, dropped out of Stanford graduate school to start his first company. He couldn't afford an apartment and an office so he leased an office and he showered at the YMCA.
All he had was a laptop and some books and student debt. That's his starting place.”
