In Ukraine, tanks were fed to drones, the drones countered by jammers, and now those jammers are being defeated with fiber. FPV's are lugging spools of it around the front – but not for long. Today Flux Photonics announces our $4M seed to cut the cord and wirelessly link drones with lasers.

Free speech is realized through parrhesia, when people summon the courage to speak their mind. Our democracy would be more vital if more prominent people were as open and honest as Shaun. Thank you, Shaun, for speaking your mind.

I have positions open on our device team. If you have a strong background in photonic design and experiment, the will to work at the boundary of the field, and are excited about changing how information flows through a battle space, reach out.

As a small US manufacturer, 80% of my COGS are imported aluminum components, which have just gone up 25% due to tariffs. Any other SMBTwit folks in the same boat? Want to start a brainstorm/strategy group to figure out how best to navigate? DM/reply if so.

Suppose you take a million tungsten cubes, an inch on a side, and fly them deep into space. In each, you set a nuclear demon which keeps its cube at a cozy 2000º K. Arranging them in an SC lattice with 2" spacing, you let them go. Does the lattice shrink? Or does it grow?

Cleanroom experience isn't necessary with the right grindset. You’ll work with us in bay area nanofabs to build photonic circuits for next-gen laser comms. Our bonus structure affords flexibility. (Night and early morning hours are more productive but you could do damage in prime time.) High RPM comp: >$80k.
