It's been 3.5-ish years. She still haunts my dreams. Its becoming unfair. Sorry, had to put this here. It needed to go somewhere, and couldn't think of anywhere else.

TLDR: Belated birthday wishes/origin story for a buddy. HBD It's 2006 and a much younger, less attractive and funny C_NoteActual was sitting in an Automotive Engines class at the local JC. As one does in the lecture portion of most classes, I had my cell phone out doing whatever I could on it to find a way to engagingly distract myself from monotonous lecture. Truth be told, the teacher was remarkably qualified and quite cool, so I paid a lot more attention down the line, but it was early on. As i'm plugging away playing games on what I remember to be my BLACKBERRY (jesus), i suddenly lose my grip on the device and it falls toward the floor. In an effort to mitigate the noise and distraction to the rest of the class, and hide my inattentiveness from the teacher, I eyeballed its flight path, and promptly slammed my boots together at my feet and caught the phone. I retrieved my phone from between my ankles, and none were the wiser. The gentleman next to me, who at the time bore a resemblance to Nick Swardson (says my sister), turned his head, smiled, and aggressively whispered, "Niiiice!" We've been friends for 20 years. Vette People..... Help me out. So I was examining the harmonic balancer yesterday. The thing is a TAD wobbly. Just a tad. Can't feel it in the cab, and there's no vibration at any RPM. At least not from the engine, anyway. Furthermore, I made a chalk line with a window marker, and both halves of the wheel are still together , meaning the outer isn't rotating independently of the inner half. Also, there's no chirp, intermittent, rhythmic, or otherwise coming from the engine bay. Am I OK? HELP, lol! BTW, 2007 Vette, 113k miles, base coupe. Thanks!

So there are these dipshits that get paid to post signs and wave flags on top of freeway overpasses out here in CA. Every now and again they post something clever and mildly amusing. Most days it’s party line nonsense. Yesterday it was “Keep California Blue!” Because that’s worked so fucking well so far??? More importantly, who’s paying these people and how do I get a second job?

Made the roof and the halo black. All that’s left now is to clear up the bubbling tint on the rear window!
