🤞🏼this can be avoided. Massive asset to the agricultural, viticultural & horticulture industries. Have been hoping there would be an expansion of the network to the YP & EP. Crucial that this network is maintained.@GRDCSouth @GrainProducerSA @SA_PIRSA @ClareScriven @BOM_au
The Mesonet Team are currently in high-level discussions to see about avoiding a shutdown of the Mesonet before Xmas.

Long overdue, too many operators spraying in the wrong conditions still and ChemCert training isn’t the right fit for the education required.
A compulsory national training system for boomspray operators is being touted as a solution to end the grain industry's spray drift problem. stockjournal.com.au/story/88…

How the heck can you claim this @BOM_au?
Amid a barrage of criticism over inaccurate forecasts, the Bureau of Meteorology reports it has added more than $100 million in economic value to the agriculture sector in the past financial year. See the details >>> bit.ly/3vdHaO7

Hey @BOM_au can you forecast wind more accurately? This is getting pretty frustrating, especially when trying to plan/complete summer spraying. PS Is it too much to ask for a Radar on the lower EP too?

Good to see the CFS are doing there best to protect the community. Unlike @GrainProducerSA recklessly pushing limit; can’t change fire behaviour, that’s a fact, so listen to the facts being presented by i.e. a formula that’s based on a 10m reading.
Latest on the SA cease harvest threshold. The CFS says it will continue to work with industry and government to find a resolution to the cease harvest threshold that supports farming communities and protects life, property and environment. @stockjournal stockjournal.com.au/story/83…

Hoping the new Thunder lentils can catch up to the growth of Highlands, disappointed so far. Poor growth and early Ascochyta. Thunder north of the line, Highland south.

Hey @SyngentaANZ can you stop using 100L square enviro drums and use 110L round ones instead? Sick of taking the probes out to get the last 6L of product. Defeats the purpose of a closed chemical handling system. Competitor 110L drums have 0.5 to 1L left in them.

PSA for S series JD owners. Our S780 has always been a very clean machine but have noticed two spots where chaff can build up. 1. Around the hand rail if it’s not upright, on top of the engine cover. 2. Chaff can get stuck between the exhaust manifold bolts and burn.

1/2. Alittle confusion out there re the new fire behaviour index and harvest code of practice; It’s critical you know the wind speed reading height
of the weather station you are reading from, it’s 2 metres or 10 meters.
