Malcolm was 20-years old and was in his fifth summer as a California State Parks seasonal lifeguard. Our thoughts and prayers are with Malcolm’s family, the Half Moon Bay community, our lifeguard family, and the first responders that worked so hard to save him.

Lifeguard rescues drowning 11-year-old at Monastery Beach

The 11-year-old was not injured. He was treated by paramedics on the scene and was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.
