Teachers & other key workers have helped keep the country going through the pandemic. They don't deserve to be faced with a salary freeze in return.
Sign the petition & support the campaign for a pay rise for all key workers tuc.org.uk/WinningaPayRise#payriseforkeyworkers
We've set out to Government the measures we believe will enable the safe & sustainable reopening of schools & colleges when national restrictions are lifted.

Data obtained from councils by @NASUWT shows education staff working in both secondary and primary schools are 3-4 times more likely to be infected by #coronavirus than the wider community. We need to ensure education staff are prioritised for vaccination. #vaccinate2educate
Teachers and education staff must be prioritised for Covid vaccines as part of a wider package of enhanced safety measures to support education recovery. MPs debate #vaccinate2educate at 6pm tonight on youtube.com/watch?v=XCVSCSm7…
Thanks you to @ToniaAntoniazzi for calling for teachers & other education staff to be prioritised for access to vaccines. We agree that this is one of the ways we can help get all pupils back to school safely #vaccinate2educate#VaccineRolloutDebate
Opening our #VaccineRolloutDebate, Committee member @ToniaAntoniazzi has backed petitioners' plea for teachers and other staff to be vaccinated against Covid-19, to help ensure schools are able to remain open.
ALT Tonia Antoniazzi MP, and a quote from her stating "We can't expect teachers to work in an unsafe environment, and there is a consensus between teachers that they can't give their best through online teaching".
Prioritising teachers & all education staff for Covid vaccines, along with a wider package of enhanced safety measures for schools & colleges, will support the recovery of education from the pandemic & help suppress the virus #vaccinate2educate
Teachers will be in the “highest category of phase two” of the vaccine rollout along with other critical workers such as police officers, @nadhimzahawi has suggested tes.com/news/vaccine-will-ve…

Members are reminded that we have guidance on remote teaching on our website. It covers livestreaming lessons, contacting pupils, workload, expectations on teaching both in-school & remotely, assessment & much more. nasuwt.org.uk/advice/health-…
Teachers are already under incredible amounts of pressure & stress. The arrangements adopted for assessing pupils’ grades must be developed in consultation with the profession & must keep workload and bureaucracy to a minimum
The Government has a huge job to rebuild the confidence of pupils, parents & teachers after last year & it will be critical that the arrangements are transparent, clearly communicated & vitally, that they ensure fairness for all pupils
We're asking members to complete our pay survey telling us whether you have received the pay award & pay progression you are entitled to surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DGWBC2N
