The Alberta government says it's striking a balance with its renewables regulations while growing wind and solar.
But the author of a new report says the province's rules are driving away billions in investment and risking its potential status as a global leader.
“It’s a bit concerning.” Will Noel from the Pembina Institute says Alberta’s renewables sector went from leading the country to seeing cancelled projects and lost investment — blaming restrictive provincial policies.

The University of Alberta cut ALL funding to the six affiliated child care centres that serve it.
After only two weeks of this becoming public, they are now holding a "Day of Parents" event to celebrate their expanded support for parents across campus.
