Parking is a major concern for Ward 12 residents. I raised these concerns with Admin during the Blanket Rezoning debate.
Our Ward 12 survey was clear: 93% want at least one parking space per unit, meanwhile Calgary averages approximately 1.7 vehicles per household.
What do you guys think is the right minimum of parking per unit?

The Lawsuit filed claims invasion of privacy and emotional distress after he used 2022 home raid footage in his music videos.
😆
Viral 'Lemon Pound Cake' video brought threats, distress😂
Many candidates/members of council in 2025 ran on repealing blanket rezoning. It is important we learn from the past and not rush seconds after the repeal into a soft "blanket rezoning". Here is the proposed change:
This was a motion brought forward by
@JenniferWyness and seconded by @chabot4ward10
to make changes to RC-G. The vote will be for a full repeal and these changes.
The following Council Members voted in favour of this amendment. For: (10): Councillor Yule, Councillor Pantazopoulos, Councillor Clark, Councillor Dhaliwal, Councillor Atkinson, Councillor Kelly, Councillor Chabot, Councillor Schmidt, Councillor Wyness, and Mayor Farkas
And against: (5): Councillor Ward, Councillor Jamieson, Councillor Tyers, Councillor Johnston, and Councillor McLean-
Who benefits when the public is excluded?
Major zoning changes (R-CG & H-GO) were designed with limited public input. We were told the public lacked expertise.
Now we’re seeing the consequences of excluding the public and it aint pretty.
Consider this, Calgary.

NEW: The Calgary Police Service has released data on the operation it conducted in the downtown core yesterday.

😭 THIS SONG ENDED ME LAST NIGHT….
💯 “I just want to catch my fish, drive my truck, drink my beer and not wake up to all this stuff I don’t want to hear.”
FACTS!!!
Surprise, surprise they’re at 192 Spadina. Pricey office space. It’s also the old address of Leadnow, which was back-door funded by Tides and other US-supported third parties who spent $900,000 skewing the 2015 election in favor of the Liberals. Well heck, they need a taxpayer-funded place to run their astroturf campaigns so we all buy the claim that they’re “grassroots.”🤷♀️
#yyccc Chronicles: $486M infrastructure deficit accumulated since ‘07. Admin admits it needs a 15% tax hike to catch up. Is Gondek building affordable housing for US after she forces us out of our homes?
Where did our taxes & fees go?
#yyc2025election#yycccpartyon🎉
Ward 7: David Barrett wants to open Calgary’s community spaces to developers while Calgarians pay the price.
“The city should team with professional developers to convert these sites into non-market affordable housing complexes that could include community gathering spaces.”
Deserving of a 4th consecutive pay bump of 3.07% with now a base salary of $124,463?
#yyccc will have had a 9.49% raise over their term. There were 2.41% increases in 2024 and 2023 and a 1.6% bump in 2022.
#yyc2025election
Please note if Gondek gets in she will justify more taxation, more 'safe supply', more dei, more drag queen story hour, another climate emergency ... and a mandate for blanket rezoning.
Your vote matters- dont split the vote with Farkas and Davidson- they are trying again.
We’re in the home stretch, Calgary.
A tax freeze means no increase — but no cuts either.
@SonyaSharpYYC has 20 years inside City Hall. She knows how to cut waste, lower taxes, and get it done.
Vote Sonya Sharp. Real leadership starts here.
#yycvotes#CalgaryElection
Calgarians don’t want to pay for self-congratulations at City Hall. If you want recognition, earn it — by delivering results. Right now, residents are recognizing delays, inefficiency, and waste, not excellence.
