Spot on. And this will be the case in perpetuity because every Westminster government will make decisions based on how those decisions will be received in England (85% of UK population). It’s what makes independent decision making in Scotland for those who live here so compelling

Good Grief.
The Western isles have the highest level of fuel poverty in Scotland.
And the highest number of over 65’s.

Of the 37 Labour MPs in Scotland 35 voted to remove the Winter Fuel Payment and two either abstained or didn't turn up. The full list of Labour MPs who voted to remove the WFP with the Scottish seats in yellow.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves was in Scotland today informing everyone she doesn't know how the Scot Gov is funded. In 2015 she was campaigning against the Bedroom Tax she is now keeping. "It's not right that we try and balance the books on the backs of the poorest in society".
